I live in Maryland now but grew up in Southern Virginia (I'm a country girl at heart). Outside of photography, my favorite things include playing with my son, crafting, drinking tea and music. FUN FACT… One of my hidden talents is making up songs, and finding a song that relates to any situation. Music is definitely a huge part of my shoot aesthetic.
I’ve always enjoyed photography and learning new things. My passion for it can be traced back to my days of developing film in the darkroom of my high school, and being the unofficial travel photographer on family and school trips (I took a million photos!). As an adult, I know how important capturing life’s precious moments are. I’ve always felt so connected to the art of photography and knew it would take me places!
When I first became a mom, I struggled with balancing being a great mom, wife and career woman. Though life will never be 100% balanced; I reconnected with myself, my “Why”, and my underlying passion for photography through training and mentorship. Now that I’m settled into motherhood, I intentionally take lots of pictures of my son and family and absolutely love looking back and remembering how small he was at certain stages. Can other moms relate?
Because photography has brought me so much joy, I want others to feel that same joy when they see the images we created in our session.
I feel so honored to serve families and brands in the DC Metro Area. Whether you’re building your personal brand, or your family’s brand I’d love to work with you to create the images you’ve always seen yourself in.
"She was incredibly punctual (showed up way early!), thoughtful, adaptable, creative, and fun throughout the entire process. And the photos she captured of us and the moment are beautiful!"
